He (Jesus Christ) is risen

7DD06E6F-D054-4EAE-A277-264D35BB6A19Easter (the life, death and resurrection of our Lord) symbolically teaches us about two resurrections that are ours through Jesus Christ & through His precious Holy Spirit. The First resurrection happens “now” as we are all resurrected to a new life in Christ Jesus (through salvation). We are freed from the bondage of sin and flesh to a life that is Spirit-filled, Spirit controlled and empowered in the righteousness of God. The second resurrection is a ”waiting hope” that we all look forward to experience, a physical/bodily resurrection (this conquers the power of death and disease once and for all ) at His final coming. May we all celebrate and experience the true meaning of Easter this morning, patiently and faithfully awaiting for our Lord’s return (Romans 6:4, Romans 7:6, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Revelation 20:4-6, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, Revelation 20:12, Revelation 22:12-14, 1 Corinthians 15:55-57)-Pastor/Evg.Samuel Meesala

Jesus-Our one and only true righteous judge

The Lord truly knows his own; He is not like man to be fooled by the outward appearance of righteousness or by the fake pleasant words and promises of man. God looks at the heart and judges it’s true motives & intentions. He (Jesus) remains the one and only true righteous judge of all-Evg/Pastor Samuel Meesala

Jesus-our only light

394D255C-554B-4421-803E-4C7E2016A54AThe Lord will light my candle and revive (comfort) my sorrowful spirit. Let those that walk in darkness and labor under discouragements take courage today, For God himself will be a light to you- Evg/Pastor Samuel Meesala

The living Church

5B405072-BC64-4718-A5CF-4A4C20340925Church is not a playground where God can be tested or played with. It isn’t a place where one can hide from his/her sins or pretend to be a skillful righteous christian (hypocrite) acting out in a play or show. The Church infact is a Holy dwelling place of God where we, the living temples of the Almighty gather to honor and worship his unfailing presence-Evg/Pastor Samuel Meesala

The Speech of God

16

My son give me your heart and let your eyes observe my ways – Proverbs 23:26

My son, give me your heart – This is the speech of God to every human soul; give your affections to God, so as to love him with all of your heart, soul, mind, & strength.

And let your eyes observe my ways – Be obedient to me in all things. My son, thou believest that I Am, and that I Am the Fountain of all good. Give me your heart; it is I alone who can make you happy. Follow me; do what is right in my sight.

This exhortation contains three words: Believe, Love & Obey. This is the sum of God’s counsels to every child of man.

Fleeing from evil

“Fall not into the grip of evil desires, lest like fire, it will consume your strength. Your leaves it will eat, your fruits it will destroy, and you will be like a dry withered tree. For contumacious (willful & perverse desires) destroys its owner and makes him the sport of his enemies”- Sirach 6:2-4, 1 Timothy 7:10

The hope of our suffering

Earthly suffering (sickness, injury, natural disaster, betrayal, financial loss, loneliness, persecution, poverty, hunger, and death) is not an eternal reality. For our momentary light affliction is producing in us an eternal weight of glory (beyond all measure and proportion) Therefore lets boast about the strength of Christ working in us during our afflictions. For such afflictions produces the much needed fruit of endurance (the power of bearing an unpleasant and difficult process or situation without giving way) – Evg. Samuel Meesala

Sin

Sin has no place in the life of a true believer. Should a believer fall or slip into sinful nature, he or she should carefully & prayerfully eradicate it; For sin ruins our communion with God & produces moral impairment and death ( spiritual & eternal death-1 John 5:18; Romans 6:23)-Evg. Seeking God the right way!

12033074_1194196190597142_6054356797361706805_nWhat does the scripture mean in the Gospel of John 14:14?

“Ask anything in my name and you shall have it”

Firstly let’s examine the proper context of what Jesus Christ meant by this portion of scripture. John 14:13 shows us the reason why Jesus made such a declaration. It was to only bring glory to the father in heaven. So the intent or end result of our asking should never bring glory to ourselves (pride or accomplishments) or to our sinful appetites but to bring glory & honor to God alone. Therefore before we ask, we should examine & discern our prayer requests. How will this bring glory to God? Am I asking for selfish reasons or for evil purposes? Am I asking for something unclean? Will God be pleased or glorified in this? James 4:3 declares

And even when you ask, you don’t get it because your motives are all wrong–you want only what will give you pleasure.

Secondly when we ask, we must ask & seek in his will (His holy purpose or predestined masterplan for us) 1 John 5:14 declares

This is the confidence we have in approaching God when we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.

Our prayers must always be offered in submission to the will of God. Colossians 1:9 declares

For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives.

Romans 12:2 also declares

And do not be conformed to this world (any longer with its superficial values and customs) but be transformed and progressively changed (as you mature spiritually) by the renewing of your mind (focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes) so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect ( in His plan and purpose for you).

Finally let us realize that prayer is a privilege that we all possess through the name of Jesus to talk to our eternal father in heaven. Let’s learn not to corrupt such a precious gift of communication with God. For when we ask, seek and knock the right way, He will surely answer!

Happy praying everyone! – Evg. Samuel Meesala
