When leaders say, “Follow the Holy Spirit God,” but then restrict the Holy Spirit God when He moves through someone they cannot control.
They say, “Follow the manual,” but when the manual says to incorporate Scripture, pray with authority, and follow the leading of God, they correct you for doing exactly that.
They say, “Operate prophetically,” but when the Word of God begins to flow, hearts are stirred, and people begin to receive, suddenly they call it disorder.
That is not spiritual leadership. That is control.
True leadership does not fear the anointing in others. True leadership does not silence the Word of God. True leadership does not apply one standard to themselves and another standard to others.
A Pharisee spirit loves order when it protects position, but resists the move of God when it comes through someone outside its control.
Those who despise the move of God through the Holy Spirit, through the Word, through teaching, prayer, discussion, or spiritual reflection reveal what spirit they are yielding to. The question is simple: are we being led by the Holy Spirit God, or are we being led by the flesh?
The body of Christ must discern this. Not every correction is godly correction. Not every structure is spiritual order. Sometimes what people call “order” is really fear, control, and insecurity.
Where the Holy Spirit God is truly leading, there will be humility, honesty, Scripture, prayer, love, correction with gentleness, and freedom for God to use whom He chooses.
The Word of God must never be treated as an interruption to prayer. The Word of God prepares the heart for prayer. Remember beloved, you belong to no one but God. The Holy Spirit God is your guide and teacher, and the Word of God is your lamp and sword, keeping you in the perfect way of the Lord. Do not let any man control what God alone must lead.
Even in the book of Acts, Simon saw the power of God and desired the gift, but his heart was not right before God. He wanted spiritual power without a purified heart. This is still dangerous today. When people desire the gifts, influence, or attention that come through the move of God, but refuse humility, repentance, and submission to the Holy Spirit God, ministry becomes corrupted by the flesh.
📌Acts 8:20 declares
Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.
📌Acts 8:21 declares
Thy heart is not right in the sight of God.
📌Romans 8:5 declares
For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
📌Romans 8:14 declares
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
📌1 Thessalonians 5:19 declares
Quench not the Spirit.
📌1 Thessalonians 5:20–21 declares
Despise not prophesyings. Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
📌2 Corinthians 3:17 declares
Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
